Some herbal products hide ingredients. Under current rules, a product can be called "natural" even if it has only a tiny splash of plants and a lot of chemicals. Brands also hide bad chemicals under the single word "fragrance."

We do not hide anything.

• We use only clean, organic or wild harvested plants collected from pristine areas. 

2. Handcrafted Batches

Factories use high heat to mix huge batches. This heat destroys plant nutrients. It cooks away healthy vitamins and ruins the oils.  Some factories use harsh organic solvents, not at The Healing Earth. 

• We make everything in very small runs using detailed written processes.  Full records on all product ingredients, extraction, and blending.

• Every product bears a lot code on the label allowing us to access the complete history.

3. Kind to the Earth

1. How do you verify that ingredients are organic and safe?

We work directly with small farmers. They grow our plants without chemical weed-killers and free of pesticides. We visit their farms to make sure they are “walking the walk”.  For our herbs supplied remotely we make sure they are truly organic certified with available certificates of analysis.  All herbs are subject to incoming inspection via organoleptic methods prior to being released to our inventory for product use.



2. Why does the color or feel of my product change slightly?

This proves our plants are real and raw! We do not use chemical stabilizers, fake dyes, or thickeners. Changes in rain, sun, and harvest times will change plants can look. These tiny changes from batch to batch do not hurt the product. They just prove our ingredients are real, living plants. 
Herbal tinctures have a shelf life of 10-15 years, and herbal glycerites 3-5 years.  Our products are sourced in amber glass bottles (protects from UV).  Sediment may develop in the bottom or your bottle.  Not to worry, this sometimes occurs from our natural plant extraction process.  Give your bottle a little shake and you are good to go.

3. Why Rely on Herbal Medicines?

The foundation of health is laid on some basic practices.  Place healthy things in your body (diet) and limit the bad things, a universal truth.  Getting adequate quality sleep, manage your stress, and keep moving with activity.  These foundational things cannot be replaced by herbs, supplements, or prescription drugs.

On the next level up the pyramid we see herbal medicine.  Relying on plants that have evolved with us for thousands of years, many times we can shift the body away from illness and towards health and vitality. 

Next level up are supplements, man-made derivatives that can provide some support, but perhaps in an unnatural way.  Did you know 1000 mg of Vitamin C is equivalent to 17 oranges?  Think you should eat 17 oranges a day? .Some supplements are standardized using industrial processes and harsh organic solvents to maximize a single constituent.  We believe in whole-plant medicine where all the compounds in a plant provide by nature are the best benefit.  Herbal medicine shines here.

The earlier in this process you can effect a change the better; that is where herbs really shine.  Modern prescription medicines are sometimes necessary for acute conditions (thank goodness we have them), but for long term health improvements we feel herbs are the better choice, especially with early intervention before a situation becomes acute.
